.POT LUCK - ALL NIGHTERS!

Ok, so anyone who knows me, will tell you, cooking is not my strong point. We used to have a bird that used to mimic the smoke alarm sound whenever she saw me standing at the stove....true story.

I love to eat. I hate to cook....last night I discovered this drawer in the bottom of my gas stove, is more then decorative. Imagine! Open the drawer, and there is this pan that looks like it should have a steak slapped onto it. And that's what I did. Spin the dial to 'broil' and the house did not blow up! Bonus! Ted always said that timing was everything for steak. He used to BBQ my steak (rare) for 7 minutes on each side. Yumm. The problem here, is that 7 minutes is not long enough to microwave this, and go there, and check on that...7 minutes turned into 9 minutes, flip, and then 7 minutes didn't look like enough. So, turn off 'broil' and leave for a while...rare turned into well, I miss Ted.
