Thursday's group of girls...smile!
Wednesday's group....notice right in the middle of the pic...Judy, is holding up a block! Way to go!
The block of the month is well on it's way. Everyone is doing great. Notice that no one is holding up $5.00 this month. How will I make that car payment? Kidding. Well done. Here's a couple of interesting takes on a simple block.
Mary has used Texture Magic in her square to 'pucker' the center. Sally has used a fabric folding method to add interest to her block. Very cool!
Someone needs to tell Janis, the rhubarb's ready.....Anne has provided her recipe for
Super Rhubarb Pie!
2-3 cups rhubarb - Anne uses a full 2 cup glass measuring cup
3 tblsp flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs beaten
Cut the rhubarb into 1" pieces and distribute evenly in the unbaked pie shell.
Mix the flour and sugar, beat in the eggs and pour evenly over the rhubarb.
Cover the top with lattice or crumbs make of : 1/2 cup flour,1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cupsoft butter or marg.
Bake pie for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F. Then lower the heat to 350 degrees and bake at least 35 minutes or until golen brown and set.
