The taming of the Beast

Posted by wendy on Sunday, January 9th, 2011

Ever have one of those nights, when all you can do is think? If you could just turn off your bain, you would fall asleep....

That crazy longarm machine did it to me the other night. Humm....Needless to say, I was ready to tackle the 'beast'.

These things I have learned.

It doesn't take 4 hours to load a quilt. Well, maybe only once, and that was early in the day for me. I had to read the words. You know how I hate to read the words. Right? I can read pictures with no problem, but the words, that's just boring. After 4 hours I realized that it was loaded WRONG and had to take it off the machine. Second attempt only took 15 minutes. Good thing its only a wall hanging.

I quilted these two beauties at the same time. I even managed to put the purple backing on the purple quilt and the blue backing on the blue quilt. Small wonders never cease. Note to self, make sure the pantograph pattern is completely under the grid on the table.

Happy quilting! Wendy

  • Good for you! I'll bet you have quilted several more things since this. I look forward to seeing your progress when I return from Florida. I miss home and my quilting friends.
